JOHN HANSEN

 

Mr. Hansen has been performing in opera, operetta and musical theater for the 30 years. He has worked with such companies as the Dallas Opera, Dallas Lyric Opera, Utah Festival Opera, Helena Symphony, Nevada Opera and Opera Idaho in addition to many local southern Californian opera companies. 

 His large performance repertoire includes Coline (La Boheme), Dulcamara (E'Lisir d'Amore), Germont (La Traviata), Frank Falka and Frosch (Der Fledermaus), Banquo (Macbeth), Sharpless (Madame Butterfly) and Daland (Der Fliegende Hollander). 

 Besides singing, Mr. Hansen has directed operas in California, Utah, Oklahoma and Idaho. He has taught private voice as well as served on the faculty of Brigham Young University-Idaho, teaching studio and group voice, pedagogy and opera workshop.
